2015/2016
World Grand Prix (8-13 Mar 2016)
Final England Stuart Bingham [25] 9-10 England Shaun Murphy [14] Head to head Details
First session:
Murphy came from 49-0 down to win frame 2.

Bingham won a life-saving 6th frame from 56-0 down to reduce the deficit to 2-4. Murphy needed two snookers with pink and black remaining, but potted the pink from a snookered position, which cost him the frame.

Murphy missed an essential pink off its spot to allow Bingham to reduce the deficit even further to only 3-4 behind.

Another easy ball that Murphy missed with the rest gave Bingham a frame-clinching chance, which he converted into a 93 break.

Second session:
In frame 10, Bingham had an outrageous fluke on the blue while splitting the pack, that allowed him to build his winning 68 break.

Amazing starting red from Murphy in the deciding frame.

He later ran out of position but made a new great red later to start a title-winning break.

First session:
13-76, 50-66, 96-20 (68), 26-74, 4-93 (58)
77-62 61-29 (55), 101-5 (93), 80-56 (74)

23-79, 65-54, 0-120 (120), 84-2, 0-72

Referee: Greg Coniglio (his first ranking final)

Shaun Murphy wins his first ranking title in two years. It's his sixth title from 12 finals. Bingham has now been the runner-up in three of his six finals. Murphy is now level with Selby and Doherty when it comes to major ranking titles.
