The 1999 ranking list will be calculated using the points earned over the two seasons 1997/98 and 1998/99. Points earned in the season 1997/98 will be represented in full (100%) in this calculation of the 1999 list.

The 2000 ranking list will be calculated using the points earned over the two seasons 1998/99 and 1999/2000. Points earned in the season 1998/99 will be represented in full (100%) in this calculation of the 2000 list.

Players losing their first match will receive points allocated to the previous round other than players seeded 33-64 who will receive the points allocated to the round that seeds players ranked 65-96. These points are detailed per the rounds marked 'seeds.' Players seeded in Round 1 will receive 75% of the points allocated to that round.

Players ranked below 96 in the 1998 ranking list will be aligned Starter points on completion of their first event. Details on Starter points are explained in letters to each player.

Players on equal points at the end of the season will be ranked according to most points earned in last season. Should this not determine positions, points in events working backwards from the World Championship will be considered. Finally, if still equal, frames won in losing final match would be used from events working backwards from the World Championship.
