The snooker rankings were first introduced in 1976. Welshman Ray Reardon was on top the first few years, but the 80's were dominated by Steve Davis. He was No. 1 from 1983 to 1989. Stephen Hendry was equally dominating in the 90's, holding the top spot from 1990 to 1997. He managed to regain the position in 2006. From 2012/2013 to 2018/2019 Mark Selby was on top before Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump took over. Right now Mark Allen is on top though. Here is the ranking history of the top 32 in the end-of-season 2023/2024 rankings. Former top 16 players have also been included. |
