Quarter-finals

HENDRY (1) bt DOHERTY (7) 5-4
(Hendry: 90, 88, 76; Doherty: 127, 93)

MCMANUS (6) bt BOND (11) 5-4
(McManus: 56, 51; Bond: 77, 64, 58)

O'SULLIVAN (9) bt Clark (18) 5-2
(O'Sullivan: 83, 70, 62, 57; Clark: 76, 66)

EBDON (10) bt Robidoux (32) 5-3
(Ebdon: 85, 76, 75, 56)

Semi-finals

Losers receiving 2025 pts
MCMANUS (6) bt HENDRY (1) 6-4
(McManus: 91, 68, 62, 57, 51; Hendry: 77, 61, 58)

Stephen Hendry would probably had won frame four, if he hadn't been distracted by a spectator. That frame would've made him 4-0 ahead. Instead, Alan McManus reached the interval "just" 1-3 down and then he made a great fight-back to win the match.

EBDON (10) bt O'SULLIVAN (9) 6-4
(Ebdon: 130, 95, 71, 51, 51; O'Sullivan: 71, 70, 66)

This was Peter Ebdon's first win over Ronnie O'Sullivan as a pro. And his break of 130 in the fourth frame is the highest so far in the tournament.

THE FINAL

Loser receiving 2700 pts. Winner receiving 3600.
MCMANUS (6) bt EBDON (10) 9-6
(McManus: 66, 63; Ebdon: 98)

In a rather scrappy final, Alan McManus was eventually the one to win the title. This was, actually, his first ranking-event title.
